Written at the end of a relationship, Hit the ground running was first recorded in Melbourne with the Secrets and appears on my album ¨time and time again¨ lyrically it kinda sounds a bit over dramatic but to be honest it felt that way at the time!! with hindsight i was certainly not completely innocent and i always feel there are two sides to every story BUT it was time for this relationship to end for the both of us, or at least that is how i felt to me. While in Spain i had been playing this song with and with out the band in a much different vein and i felt it also needed to be recorded that way.
Hope you enjoy this reworked version of Hit the ground running.
